Random Pics

Santa and Reese

Reese it's ok. I've never seen a man with a white beard before either. Let me hold your hand and maybe you'll feel better.
There! It's all better now!
So this is Santa Clause? I don't know what the big fuss is all about but I sat there for a picture anyway!

I got to play with my new toy while we waited for mommy to get ready to meet Reese at the mall to see Santa! I love this thing. It plays music and makes all kinds of sounds! The thing in the middle makes this noise that sounds like the same noise we hear in the car. I'm not sure if mommy makes the "honking" sound or if other people are making it at us! Ha ha!

Jack's First Christmas With the Girls!

We had our annual Christmas with the girls this year and were glad to introduce Jack and Reese to the mix. What a great time it was! All of the kids (Jack, Reese, Braylan and Carly) enjoyed playing with one another and the moms loved being able to hang out. It was fun to open gifts for the kids and for the moms to do our ornament exchange. Jack thanks everyone for all of his awesome presents! We are already looking forward to next year!

What a Mess!!!

All clean after a bath and sleeping soundly after his meal. Hopefully the cereal will make him sleep longer.

So I don't know if it's normal or not but Jack's first "cereal meal" was a lot messier than I thought it would be. I actually thought there wouldn't be any mess considering we were the ones feeding him. Boy was I wrong! First off, I feel sorry for him and all babies his age because the cereal does not look good at all to me. That being said, I blame the mess for him not liking it and spitting it out and getting it all over him! Ha ha! Just kidding. He took his time feeling the different texture in his mouth before swallowing. In the meantime he was drooling all over himself. Needless to say he had cereal drool all over his face, clothes and bumbo! I'm glad his bumbo is rubber and makes for easy cleanup. I'm starting to rethink his wooden high chair!

Four Month Check Up

He still makes us laugh with his "surprise" face. It was the flash from the camera. Gets him every time!

Just chilling at the doctor's office. He looks like a big boy to me in this pic!

Naked and waiting for his shots. Forget his teething toys-he loves to gnaw on cloth and his fists.

Just got done with his shots and putting his clothes back on. He is in a good mood.

Enjoying tummy time and being playful while we wait for our nurse to tell us we can go.

Jack destroyed the paper on the table. He loves the sound it makes so he was moving like crazy! He was also amused by the numbers on his pants and tried to pick at it like it was going to come off.

We took Jack to his four month visit today and he did really good. He got the same round of vaccinations plus they pricked his toe. He didn't even budge when they pricked him or cried on his first shot. But he thought about it and cried after his second and third shot. It didn't last long which made me happy and easier to watch him go through it. Hopefully the older he gets the less he'll feel the shots!

Jack weighs 15 lbs and 9 oz and is 25 and 1/4 inches long. He is in the 70th percentile in both weight and length. Dr. Peeden says he is a picture of health! He commented on his facial expressions and said he was very animated and alert. He said he has very high eyebrows which people have told us before. You can tell in pictures hence his surprise face! Ha! Jack continues to grow both physically and mentally. He is getting stronger every day. He is more aware of colors, sounds and textures. He is still smiling and laughing and moves his hands and legs like crazy! If his feet touches the side of the bumper in his crib he will turn himself upside down. He loves for us to hold him up and stand on his legs while he bounces up and down. He is definitely ready for his jumperoo! He is the same on his sleeping and still has two feedings a night and naps a lot less. I am trying to drop a feeding but he is a hungry boy!

We also got the go to start him on cereal and solid foods. We are going to start with cereal then fruit and vegetables when he's 5 months. We are so excited he gets to eat something other than breast milk!

Four Months Old!

All bundled up and ready to go over to Yay's house!

Annelise just woke up from her nap and doesn't look too happy. I'm trying not to look at her and look at the fan instead!

Finally mommy let me do my four month post! I turned four months last Wednesday but had my four month checkup today. She should be posting about that next. I hung out with my cousins Annelise and Rylee and of course had a great time. Rylee is only a couple of days older than me but as you can see he's just a wee bit bigger than I am:) Annelise is 16 months and weighs 18 pounds-2 more pounds than Rylee! I see Annelise every Wednesday and hopefully Rylee will start hanging out with us too!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We have so much to be thankful for this year. We are thankful for God for blessing us with Jack and for wonderful family and friends. This was our first Thanksgiving with our little man and we look forward to many more!

Let's Swim!

Mommy and daddy took me swimming at great aunt Angie's hotel pool which was heated. It felt awesome like bath water! I thought I was taking a bath at first but there were other people in there and I had my clothes on so I knew it couldn't be bath time:) I really enjoyed it and could spend all day in there! I wish we could have one of those at home!
