Four Month Check Up

He still makes us laugh with his "surprise" face. It was the flash from the camera. Gets him every time!

Just chilling at the doctor's office. He looks like a big boy to me in this pic!

Naked and waiting for his shots. Forget his teething toys-he loves to gnaw on cloth and his fists.

Just got done with his shots and putting his clothes back on. He is in a good mood.

Enjoying tummy time and being playful while we wait for our nurse to tell us we can go.

Jack destroyed the paper on the table. He loves the sound it makes so he was moving like crazy! He was also amused by the numbers on his pants and tried to pick at it like it was going to come off.

We took Jack to his four month visit today and he did really good. He got the same round of vaccinations plus they pricked his toe. He didn't even budge when they pricked him or cried on his first shot. But he thought about it and cried after his second and third shot. It didn't last long which made me happy and easier to watch him go through it. Hopefully the older he gets the less he'll feel the shots!

Jack weighs 15 lbs and 9 oz and is 25 and 1/4 inches long. He is in the 70th percentile in both weight and length. Dr. Peeden says he is a picture of health! He commented on his facial expressions and said he was very animated and alert. He said he has very high eyebrows which people have told us before. You can tell in pictures hence his surprise face! Ha! Jack continues to grow both physically and mentally. He is getting stronger every day. He is more aware of colors, sounds and textures. He is still smiling and laughing and moves his hands and legs like crazy! If his feet touches the side of the bumper in his crib he will turn himself upside down. He loves for us to hold him up and stand on his legs while he bounces up and down. He is definitely ready for his jumperoo! He is the same on his sleeping and still has two feedings a night and naps a lot less. I am trying to drop a feeding but he is a hungry boy!

We also got the go to start him on cereal and solid foods. We are going to start with cereal then fruit and vegetables when he's 5 months. We are so excited he gets to eat something other than breast milk!
