6 Month Pictures

I met my sister Ra at Lakeshore to take Jack's pictures. It was absolutely gorgeous outside! Jack was so intrigued by the grass, leaves, sticks and branches that he tried to eat it every chance he got. It was hard to get him to smile and look up because he was too interested in everything on the ground! I loved watching him feel the different textures and stare at people and dogs as they walked by. I didn't know if the pictures would turn out or not because my sister and I just went on a whim to take them. Although we didn't capture his usual smiles, we captured him living "in the moment" of this beautiful day and I couldn't be happier! Thanks Ra!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I had the best Valentine's Day with my two favorite boys! It was beautiful outside and we got visits from family, Kelli and Reese! Jack and Reese are growing up so fast and it's nice to see them play together. The last picture shows Jack and his little temper I mentioned in an earlier blog. That was the first time I have seen Jack like that! Guess he didn't want to share his toy with Reese! Tait left us a card saying he couldn't wait to take us on a date but we wanted to stay in and ordered take-out instead. Jack fell asleep around 7 so Tait and I were able to enjoy our dinner and a glass of wine while he slept. To our surprise, Jack woke back up and was wide awake! We put all of Jack's toys on the floor and played with him thinking it would wear him out. He didn't go to bed until 12:45 in the morning! Guess he didn't want to miss out!

Cousin Dane

Uncle Joe, Aunt Rachel and Cousin Dane came over to see me and I was so happy! I haven't seen him since New Year's and he has gotten so big! They just got back from the beach and visiting Grandpa CJ and Lena. I wish they would've taken me with them. My daddy and his daddy are really close and hope me and Dane become close too. I can't wait until we get bigger so we can play together. I always love to see my daddy's side of the family because they live far away.

6 Month Checkup!

Jack had his six month checkup on February 3rd and along with his normal round of shots he got a flu shot as well. We go back in a month for his second flu shot. We are fortunate he hasn't been sick yet. Jack weighs 17 pounds and is 26 and 1/2 inches long. This is the first time he is under the 50th percentile in weight. He is 48th percentile!

We cannot believe Jack is already 6 months old! Where has the time gone??? It has flown by and being his mommy just keeps getting better and better. He has become so active and reaching and grabbing everything he can get. He puts everything in his mouth. He hasn't crawled yet but loves to jump, stretch and scoot! Feeding and changing him have now become a challenge. He tries to grab the spoon and anything on the dining room table and he is so squirmy while changing his diaper. He has two little bottom teeth that are so cute! He says what we think sounds like mamama and babababa and a bunch of gibberish. He only says mamama when he is being fussy but never on command. And speaking of fussy, he has developed a little temper we've never seen before. He doesn't like to be woken up (wonder who he gets that from:)) or when we take things away from his mouth. He squeals and cries for a split second than gets over it. He loves his mommy and notices when I leave the room and will cry for me. Makes me feel kind of special! Haha! He loves to go to the park, ride in his stroller and play with his toys. He smiles and laughs more than ever and so fun to be around! I love this stage of Jack's life!

Bottoms Up!

Catching Up

It has been awhile since I've last blogged and I feel so bad about it. We have been really busy but I hope to catch up and blog at least once a week! I posted random pictures of Jack that I've taken since the last blog.
