Boo At The Zoo With Our "Little Stinker"!

We took Jack to Boo at the Zoo Friday night. It was pretty chilly so we thought his skunk costume would be perfect. It is also fitting because he literally is our "little stinker", a name that we've given him due to his never ending diaper changes! And we think he's pretty stinkin cute! He fell asleep right when we got in and I thought he was going to miss the whole thing. He finally woke up and got to play with his cousins and go through the candy line while his daddy held him. He also posed for pictures that strangers wanted to take of him. A little weird but we didn't mind. I guess they thought he was stinkin cute too! :)

Fall Fest

We took Jack to his first Fall Fest on Thursday. It is an event our church has every year for Halloween. Jack was dressed up as a skunk and I'm not sure what Tait was. Ha Ha! We worked a game booth and Tait handed out candy. I think he scared the kids especially the little girls who were hesitate to go to him! Jack loved all the commotion and seeing all the kiddies dressed up!

A Birthday Party? Yay!

One of my best friend Braylan turned 1 on Tuesday and invited me to her birthday party. Everyone dressed up and it was so much fun! I was so happy to see Reese and Leighton and meet Carly. Reese just chilled the whole night and Leighton and Braylan were all over the place. I'm glad Leighton decided not to go down the slide while we took this picture! I was a little scared. It was really neat watching Braylan open her presents and eat her cake. She made a mess! I thought it was funny!

Jack-In-The-Box!

Last Sunday, my great aunt and uncle Jenny and Bob, cousin Jessica and her boyfriend Todd came to see me for the first time. We went to Cracker Barrel and they gave me this wind up box that had a clown jumping out of it. It was really neat! I liked it because it had my name on it! They also gave me my first Bible. I can't wait for mommy and daddy to read it to me. I'm so excited!!! It was so good seeing them and I can't wait to see them again in Florida for Thanksgiving!

Arrgh!

Jack went to his first Halloween party Saturday night. He was a pirate and Tait and I were football players. I think we just looked like really big Colt's fans! I guess that is what you get with last minute planning! We had a great time eating, sitting by the bon fire and hanging out with family and friends!

Jack's First Pumpkin Patch!

We took Jack to his first pumpkin patch Friday night and needless to say he will probably enjoy it more next year. It was dark and cold and I forgot to pack his blanket! We took a hayride to the pumpkin patch and after a long search, Jack picked out the perfect pumpkin! Ha ha!

Hoosier Baby?

We took another trip to Indiana this past weekend. We went up for Aunt Rachel's baby shower and down to Bloomington for IU's homecoming game. This was Jack's first tailgate and first time meeting daddy's friends. Jack was all decked out in Hoosier gear complete with cream and crimson leggings! We got there at 8:30 in the morning and left around 3 in the afternoon! Jack was such a trooper! He seemed to be having fun - watching his daddy and friends play cornhole and being held by Christie. Thanks Christie! He took small cat naps throughout the day instead of his usual long nap. Guess he didn't want to miss out on anything! We had such a great time and was so glad we were able to catch up with friends and have Jack be a part of it.

After tailgating we went to Tait's cousin Blake's house for a fish fry. It was Jack's first time meeting a lot of his daddy's family. Then on Sunday we had a shower for his soon-to-be cousin Dane who will make his arrival in December. Jack got to see all of his cousins in Indy before heading back home. Another fun filled weekend!

Another Play Date!

Ahhh...much better! I'm glad you think so Reese.

Uh-Oh...I think I pooped! Sorry Reese - don't cry. I know it stinks. Mommy please change me.

Jack had another playdate on Tuesday with his friends Braylan, Leighton and Baby Reese! There was a lot going on and he just mainly watched Braylan and Leighton play with one another and Reese sleep. It was an adventure getting a picture of him and all his friends but I managed to get a shot. I love how they are all looking at different directions! I guess that's what you get when you have four crazy moms snapping away! I look forward to him growing up with his buddies and future play dates!

Two Month Check Up!

We took Jack to his 2 month doctor appt today that he was supposed to have last Monday. He did really good from beginning to end. I was kind of dreading this appointment since he was getting his shots - 3 to be exact! He cried at first then stopped immediately after. He also had an oral vaccine that he seemed to really like. He weighs 13 pounds and 4.5 ounces and measured 23 and 3/4 inches long. He is in the 90 percentile in weight and 75 percentile in length. Dr. Peeden said he is doing great in all areas and has a very pronounced second chin:) He expects him to have 3 chins at 3 months! Ha ha!

After his appt we went to my friend Brooke's house for a play date with her daughter Leighton and Heather and her daughter Braylan. Jack was actually held by everyone but he enjoyed watching while his friends played! The moms enjoyed hanging out and are doing it again tomorrow. We have a play date with Baby Reese and his mom Kelli. Jack will be happy to have another boy to hang out with! I will definitely post pictures of the event!

Just Me and Mommy!

Jack turned 10 weeks old yesterday and I can't believe how fast time has gone by. I am dedicating this post to Jack and I.

I want to thank him for being such a precious little boy and let him know he's the absolute joy of my life. I have been an aunt to so many nieces and nephews and knew I always wanted to be a mom but didn't realize just how rewarding it is. I have enjoyed every minute of being Jack's mom and our time together. I can't believe how much joy he has given me and there is not a day that goes by that I don't thank God for him. I am so blessed. I look forward to watching him grow and our future together.

He has changed so much these past couple of weeks and he continues to amaze me each day with his growing personality. I love his smile, laughter and facial expressions. He continues to coo and tries his hardest to copy what I do which is fun to watch! The best part is when he looks at me and knows I'm his mom. He knows that I can feed him when he's hungry and soothe him when he's upset. I can pick him up and hold him and he's so content. It doesn't get much better than that! And to me....that is priceless.

It's Bumbo Time!!!!

We introduced Jack to his Bumbo seat tonight. I had Jack on my lap while we were eating and I thought why don't we get out his Bumbo seat so Tait and I could eat dinner together. We usually have him in his swing or one of us will hold him while the other ate. We sat his seat on the table and he loved it! He kept looking at the lights and at us mimicking our mouths as we ate. I kind of felt bad because he was just staring at us while we are enjoying all this food. He will get to eat actual food soon enough! We were thrilled that he liked sitting in his Bumbo and we could enjoy a meal together without rushing. He did make a stinky and had to be excused from the dinner table. He gets his manners from his daddy! Ha ha!
He enjoyed watching the Colts today and brought them good luck. They beat the Chiefs - the only undefeated team in the NFL. It must have been his cute Colt's gear! He's been drooling like crazy so we put his matching Colts bib on for the game.

Greek Fest 2010!!!!

We took Jack to his first Greek Fest Friday night. We thought it would be a good idea for him to embrace his Greek roots. Just kidding. We went for the gyros, balklava sundae, music and fun! It was such a nice evening out. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed spending time with my mom, sister, brother-in-law and their kids. Jack's cousin Annelise loves playing with him and feeding him - she tried to feed him a carrot the other day. Rest assured her pizza didn't go anywhere near his mouth that night! Jack enjoyed the loud music and festivities but we pushed him too far and he let us know when we were out past his bedtime.

Nice to Meet You Buddy!

Baby Reese arrived on Wednesday night and we went to the hospital Thursday to see him and his mommy and daddy. We have been waiting a long time for him to arrive and for Jack and Reese to finally meet each other. As you can see it was such a special moment. They are so cute together! You can tell already they will be best buds for life! Ha ha! Baby Reese is precious - so cute and healthy. We are so happy for John and Kelli and their new journey into parenthood. It is truly awesome!!! We look forward to sharing many memories together!

Dollywood!!!

Last Wednesday Aunt Dana, the girls and Bradi came in town and we all went to Dollywood. It was Jack's first visit but we plan on going back during Christmas. He really enjoyed being outside and watched as his cousins rode all the rides!

What Jack Did This Weekend......

I'm happy to report that Jack likes his swing. It took him awhile to warm up to it but now he sits in there watching TV and sometimes takes his naps. He kicks the blankets off every time! This past Saturday he watched Tennessee get beat by LSU and Indiana get beat by Michigan. Well he watched Indiana since both games were on at the same time and his daddy was watching him! Maybe we need to spend more time in his play place - he's starting to look like a couch potato!

Who You Calling Chubby???

Over the weekend I had two people comment on how big Jack was. Really??? I haven't gotten that yet and when I look at him I think he's normal or even on the small side. A lady at the mall asked me how old he was and when I told her she said, "He's big for a nine week old!" Then at Target a girl who works there who I've seen throughout my pregnancy asked if I had Jack with me. I told her he was at home with his daddy and she asked to see a picture. I showed her a picture of him on my phone and she said, "He's a chubby one!" What? Really??? He wasn't even big in the picture! Wonder what she would think if she saw the pic I posted! Ha ha! Jack was supposed to have a doctor appt today but was rescheduled because his doctor called in sick. I can't wait to see how much he weighs! I will definitely update!

On a different note, I was able to run a couple of errands Saturday without the little man and it felt weird. Don't get me wrong it was really nice but weird not to have him with me. I had pumped so I left him with Tait and I went to Target and Kroger. It was the first time I had been to Kroger since Jack's been born. I do not miss grocery shopping! I did like the feeling of being able to run errands and not be on a time constraint. I took my time browsing and going down every aisle!
